Meet Maria Saenz

Operations & Traveler Experience

María grew up in Bogotá, but ask about her childhood and she'll skip the city entirely — her weekends were for hiking, camping, and any excuse to get outside. One family vacation she was in the Amazon, convinced she was a full-blown explorer; the next she was in line for Space Mountain. Not much has changed: 25+ countries later, she's crossed the Andes on horseback with Argentine gauchos and gone to the south of France to pick flowers and make her own perfume.

Her career landed where tourism, sustainability, and community development collide — the formal way of saying she's obsessed with the people who make a place come alive: the cacao farmer, the artisan, the family restaurant that deserves way more attention. She's also the person behind Entre Platos, built on a simple belief: if you want to understand a culture, sit down at its table.

María's just getting started with T2T. First up: Colombia, Mexico City, and wherever she talks us into next. Travel with her and expect days that are thoughtfully planned but never overplanned, incredible food, and detours she swears are "five minutes away." She'll happily take you to the must-see places, but she's more excited about the ones that never make the brochure.
