Camp Lola Whiskey's Signature Cocktails

One of the most memorable parts of Camp Lola Whiskey 2025 was our incredible lineup of craft cocktails, each one featuring the best of Wisconsin's spirits, mixers, and flavors. From our opening night Old Fashioned to our post-dinner shrub cocktails, every drink told a story about our beautiful state.

Here's your complete guide to the cocktails we served at camp last year, so you can recreate the magic at home or just get really excited about what might be waiting for you in 2026!

Berens Brandy Old Fashioned – served night one of camp.

Berens Brandy Old Fashioned

We kicked off camp the Wisconsin way—with a proper brandy Old Fashioned. Because if you're going to do summer camp for adults in Wisconsin, you'd better start with our state cocktail.

What you need:

  • 2 oz Berens Old Fashioned Brandy

  • 1/2 orange slice

  • 2 cherries (for muddling)

  • 1 sugar cube

  • 2-3 dashes of bitters

  • 7up (for sweet floater)

  • Ice

  • Cherry + orange slice (for garnish)

How to make it: Drop your orange wedge in a glass. Add the sugar cube, 2 cherries, and bitters. And then ladies and gentlemen, start your muddlers. After she's good and muddled, add your brandy. Top with ice to the brim, then add your 7up floater. Stir. Garnish with a cherry and orange.

This is how Wisconsin does it—sweet, boozy, and unapologetically us.

The Honey Cocktails

Before dinner on Saturday, we hosted our "Buzzing Around Camp" happy hour, featuring two honey-forward cocktails that made everyone weak in the knees (pun intended).

Bee’s Knees cocktails paired perfectly with a game of bar dice!

Bee's Knees

  • 2 oz 45th Parallel gin

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 2/3 oz Wisconsin honey syrup

How to make it:
Boil a 50/50 honey and water mixture ahead of time, depending on the quantity of cocktails you plan to make. Stir and let cool. Shake all ingredients with ice until chilled, pour over crushed ice into a lowball glass, and garnish with a lemon slice.

Sweet as summer camp crushes, twice as intoxicating.

Gold Rush

  • 2 oz 45th Parallel bourbon

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 2/3 oz Wisconsin honey syrup

How to make it:
Boil a 50/50 honey and water mixture ahead of time, depending on the quantity of cocktails you plan to make. Stir and let cool. Shake all ingredients with ice until chilled, pour over crushed ice into a lowball glass, and garnish with a lemon slice.

Like striking gold!

The Shrub Cocktails

After dinner, we transitioned to our "Shrub Your Troubles Away" happy hour—getting everyone in the mood to dance under the stars.
