Single, Childfree & Ready for Greece
Let’s celebrate our badass SINK freedoms in Greece.
Hi, I'm Angela! Speaker, educator, storyteller, and global podcast host from Boston. As your enthusiastic elder millennial guide, I'm passionate about creating transformative experiences that celebrate the epic lives of single and childfree individuals through the power of adventure.
I believe that as single and childfree folks, we deserve spaces where our lifestyle choices are not just accepted but celebrated. Between societal expectations and the constant "when are you settling down?" questions, it's easy to forget just how badass and free we truly are. That's why I'm inviting you on this extraordinary journey through Greece.
This Greece trip is designed for you to take up space, invest in yourself, and connect with other SINKs (Single Income No Kids) who understand this beautiful and unique lifestyle. While others get celebrations for marriages and babies, we're creating our own epic moments that honor our choices and freedom.
My hope is that through adventure, growth, connection, and community, you'll release any narratives about what your life "should" look like and embrace just how powerful you already are. Let's grab life by both hands and GO BE EPIC together in Greece!
As the host of The Empowered Millennials podcast and founder of The Single Childfree community, I've dedicated my life to helping people break free from the "shoulds" of society and make empowered choices to live authentically. After experiencing my own journey through grief and personal transformation, I discovered the incredible power of choosing your own joy and surrounding yourself with a community that shares your values.
Limited spots available! Secure your spot today.
Please note: this trip is exclusively for single and child-free women — those who aren’t in a committed partnership AND who do not have or parent children.
The Greek Experience
Athens and the Peloponnese
There's a version of you that exists on a sailboat in the Saronic Gulf — salt in your hair, wine in hand, laughing with women you met three days ago who already feel like your oldest friends. This trip is how you meet her.
We start in Athens, but not the tour-bus version. You'll wander cobblestone streets where democracy was invented, cook a Greek meal with your own hands, and stay out later than you have in years — because nobody here has to get home for anyone. Then we trade the city for open water: a full day sailing to three islands, jumping off the boat into turquoise water simply because you can.
From there, the Greece most travelers never see. Seafood on the pier in Poros. Nafplio, a coastal town wrapped in medieval fortresses, where evenings mean wine bars and long dinners that turn into longer conversations. Kalamata, where you'll taste olive oil the way the Greeks actually do it and kayak into sea caves along the Messinian coast — including one that glows blue. And the mountains of Arcadia, where you'll hike to a 1,000-year-old monastery built into a cliff and eat dinner in a stone village square, the kind of meal you'll still be describing at parties five years from now.
We close with a wine tasting in Nemea — 3,500 years of winemaking, one perfect afternoon — before one last night in Athens. Ten days. A group of women who don't need to explain their lives to anyone here.

Itinerary

Welcome to Greece!
Airport pickup
Plaka, Anafiotika & Monastiraki
Welcome dinnerYou've made it to Greece—and somehow the air just feels different here. Our driver will grab you from the airport and take you to our boutique hotel.
After settling in, we'll head out to explore Athens on foot, wandering through neighborhoods where ancient ruins sit beside lively cafés and flower-covered alleyways. We'll weave through Plaka's charming streets, discover tiny hidden corners in Anafiotika, watch the city buzz around Monastiraki, and hear the stories that turned this place into the birthplace of democracy.
Tonight is when everything begins. Around a table filled with incredible Greek food and generous pours of wine, strangers become travel buddies, inside jokes are born, and you'll probably find yourself wondering why you didn't book this trip sooner.
Welcome Dinner included. -
Cooking class
Free evening
Optional e-bike tourToday you get to do something far better than simply eating Greek food—you'll learn how to make it.
We'll shop for fresh local ingredients before rolling up our sleeves in the kitchen alongside a local chef, preparing classic Greek dishes from scratch. Then comes the best part: sitting down together to enjoy everything we've created.
The afternoon and evening are yours. Wander the boutiques of Ermou, sip cocktails in Kolonaki, find the perfect rooftop overlooking the Acropolis, or simply get gloriously lost in Athens. (Honestly, that's usually when the magic happens.)
Breakfast and lunch included. -
Saronic Gulf sailing
Swim and snorkel off Moni island
Aegina exploration
Unwind in AthensToday we're escaping Athens for the Saronic Gulf on a traditional Greek sailing ship. No Instagram models renting yachts for photoshoots here—just authentic island hopping with locals who know these waters like their own backyard.
First stop: Agistri, an island wrapped in pine trees and surrounded by water so blue it looks Photoshopped (it's not). Swim, sunbathe on golden sand beaches, or just collapse into a beach chair with a freddo espresso.
Next, we'll sail to tiny Moni island next for a proper Greek lunch with local beer and wine. Jump straight off the boat for snorkeling in crystal waters that make hotel pools look like child’s play.
Our final island is Aegina—famous for pistachios and charm. Wander through white stone houses with flower-filled courtyards, check out the archaeological site, or park yourself at a local café to people-watch like a pro.
The sail back to Athens offers stunning coastal views while we enjoy coffee and fresh fruit on deck. The evening is yours to explore more of Athens or just collapse from all that tough relaxing you did all day.
Breakfast and lunch included.
-
Corinth Canal views
Poros island ferry + island hang
Evening in Nafplio
Pack your sunglasses—we're hitting the road.Today we leave Athens behind and head into the Peloponnese, making our first stop at the Corinth Canal, where you'll stand above one of the world's most impressive engineering feats and immediately start taking photos.
Then it's off to Poros, a little island that feels like it was designed specifically for lingering. Think colorful waterfront cafés, sailboats bobbing in the harbor, narrow streets made for wandering, and a long lunch at one of our favorite local tavernas tucked away from the crowds. This is the kind of place where you'll say, "Can we just stay here?"
By late afternoon, we'll hop back on the ferry and continue to Nafplio—arguably the prettiest town in Greece (yes, we're making that claim). Picture Venetian architecture, flower-filled balconies, charming little squares, and waterfront strolls that somehow turn into pre-dinner drinks... which somehow turn into dinner.
Welcome to your new favorite town.
Breakfast included.
-
Medieval fortress
Walking tour of old town
Free timeToday is all about falling in love with Nafplio.
We'll spend the morning exploring what many Greeks consider the country's most beautiful town—a maze of cobblestone streets, colorful doors, hidden courtyards, and bougainvillea spilling over centuries-old buildings. Then we'll make our way up to Palamidi Fortress, where the panoramic views over the Argolic Gulf are well worth every step (and yes, your camera roll is about to take another hit).
The afternoon is yours to make the most of. Browse local boutiques, hop on a little boat to the Bourtzi fortress, cool off with a swim, or claim a table at a café where "one glass of wine" somehow turns into two, along with a cheese board and several hours of people-watching.
As evening falls, Nafplio comes alive. The streets fill with locals, waterfront restaurants buzz with conversation, and dinner stretches exactly the way it should—great food, great wine, and absolutely no reason to check the time.
Breakfast included.
-
13th century castle tour
Olive mill tour and tasting
Farm to table feast
Free timeForget everything you thought you knew about olive oil.
Today we're heading into the heart of Greece's olive country, where we'll discover why olive oil isn't just an ingredient—it's practically a love language.
We'll begin at the 13th-century Castle of Androusa, perched above endless olive groves, before stepping inside a working olive mill to learn how one tiny olive becomes liquid gold. With a local expert leading the way, you'll taste Greece's prized Koroneiki olives, learn to spot exceptional olive oil like a pro, and discover why Greeks treat it with the same reverence others reserve for fine wine.
Then it's time to pull up a chair and do what the Greeks do best: gather around the table for an unforgettable feast of local flavors. Imagine a table overflowing with local specialties—creamy Greek cheeses, warm spinach pie, smoky sausage, fresh bread, tapenade, Kalamata olives, plenty of wine, and yes... a little ouzo to toast the occasion.
By the time we arrive in Kalamata, you'll understand why this region is famous around the world. The rest of the afternoon is yours to dive into the sea, stroll the waterfront promenade, hunt down the perfect seaside cocktail, or settle into a beachside taverna just in time for sunset.
Breakfast and lunch included.
-
Sea kayaking
Blue Cave
Swimming & snorkeling
We'll paddle along one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in Greece, weaving through sea caves, dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, and unbelievably clear water. We'll stop to swim, snorkel, picnic, and simply appreciate the fact that places like this actually exist. Not feeling adventurous? Spend the day relaxing on the beach and enjoy the beachfront tavernas instead. There's no wrong way to do Greece.
Breakfast and light lunch (for kayaking participants) included. -
Byzantine monastery
River banks picnicAfter breakfast, Greece throws you a curveball.
Yesterday you were swimming in the Mediterranean. Today you're hiking through pine forests, crossing mountain gorges, and discovering a side of the country that most travelers never even hear about.
We'll follow part of the legendary Menalon Trail to Moni Prodromou, a monastery that's been clinging to the side of a cliff for over 1,000 years. Seriously... someone looked at a vertical rock face and thought, "Let's build a monastery there." Against all logic, they pulled it off.
After a riverside picnic, we'll spend the afternoon bouncing between Arcadia's mountain villages, where old men still gather in the town square, little bakeries smell incredible, and life runs on conversations instead of schedules. If someone offers you a shot of tsipouro, just know it's considerably stronger than it looks.
Tonight, we'll toast to one last night in the mountains over hearty local dishes, plenty of wine, and the realization that Greece has far more layers than beaches and blue domes.
Breakfast and lunch included.
-
Nemea winery tour
Free time in Athens
Farewell dinnerYou've hiked. You've sailed. You've kayaked. You've eaten enough feta to last a lifetime.
Now it's time to drink some wine.
We'll stop in Nemea—Greece's oldest and most famous wine region—for an afternoon of vineyard views, generous pours, and discovering why this valley has been producing wine since long before most countries even existed.
Back in Athens, we'll celebrate the only way we know how: around a table with incredible food, plenty of laughter, and one final toast to a week that somehow flew by way too fast.
Breakfast and farewell dinner included. -
Breakfast + head to airport
After breakfast, we'll check out, swap contact info with your new travel buddies, and our drivers will whisk you to the airport.Just like that, your Greek adventure comes to an end. You'll return home with olive oil knowledge nobody asked for, several hundred photos, and friendships that started with "nice to meet you" and ended with "when are we traveling together again?"
Until next time, Greece.
Breakfast included.

Why Travel to Greece With A LEGT Leader:
Greece is spectacular, but there are so many logistics and options involved in putting together the perfect Greece itinerary. It’s exceptionally popular, which is why we’re going to avoid the tourist traps, crowded and unreliable ferries, and see the real, authentic Greece. We want you to experience this magical place for yourself without the worry of planning out all the details and logistics.
You literally just have to show up.
Pack your bags (we’ll tell you exactly what to bring) and book that flight (yep, got tips for that too). Everything else? That's our problem now. Your only job is to show up ready for adventure.
We’ve done the homework so you don't have to.
That means preparing you every step of the way and providing information on everything from purchasing flights, visas, currency, weather and safety, to the more exciting things like what to wear and fun things to do in your free time. Because we scout every trip first, you get to skip the tourist traps and rookie mistakes we’ve already made for you.
No more waiting on flaky friends.
We've all been there - that group chat that starts with "Let's plan a trip!" and ends in radio silence. Not here. The dates are set, the itinerary is locked in, and your adventure squad is ready to go.
Small group = Big experiences.
Forget those massive tour buses. We keep it intimate (10-15 people max) because you can't exactly have a heart-to-heart conversation with 40 strangers or get invited into someone's home for tea when you roll up with a small army.
Make an actual difference (not just Instagram stories about it).
This isn't about drive-by tourism or performative do-gooding. We're talking real connections with local communities, authentic cultural exchanges, and meaningful ways to give back that actually help rather than hurt.
Finally get photos you won’t hate in 5 years.
Let's be honest - we all want at least a few shots that make our friends jealous. We’ve got you covered with photos that capture the real you having the time of your life (not just awkward poses in front of landmarks). Check out some photos of past adventurers.
“Traveling with Laura to Greece in June of 2024 was an absolute DREAM! Laura has an incredible way of blending culture, adventure, education, and FUN. This trip was a mix of mainland Greece and island hopping, and all of the accommodation and meals were wonderful. Sailing around Greece was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and the skippers were also such lovely humans. The boat we lived on for the week was the perfect size, and we were able to see so many areas of Greece that tourists miss - I can't stress how perfect the trip was! If you're on the fence about traveling with Laura, take the leap. You will definitely not regret it. Can't wait for my next trip with Laura!”

FAQs
-
You bet! We realize this is a large investment, so we try to make my trips as affordable as possible by offering payment plans.
There is an up front deposit of $1,500 at the time of booking. The remaining portion will be split into smaller payments.
You are responsible for making payments on time, or you will forfeit your spot without refund.
-
This entirely depends on your spending habits, but you’ll want to budget additional spending money for lunches and dinners that aren’t included, plus the cost of snacks and drinks to have on the boat.
We would budget $25-50 a day for spending money, plus extra money for shopping if that interests you.
You’ll also want to set aside money for tips for our guide and driver. -
Yes, you will need a passport valid beyond March 30, 2028.
If you do not have a passport, we recommend you start the process right away, as it can take several months to receive it. If you need assistance with this, feel free to reach out!
VISAS
Come 2027, Americans and Brits will be required to apply for European Travel Information and Authorization System authorization and pay a small fee to visit Europe.
ETIAS is set to launch sometime in 2026.
The new program will require travelers from countries outside the Schengen Area of Europe to fill out an application before arrival and pay a fee of 7 euros (about $8) to enter any European Union or Schengen Area country.
What does this mean for future trips to Europe? Here's everything you need to know about the new ETIAS program.
More up to date details will be provided to you as your trip approaches.

All trips offered by Laura Ericson Group Trips are non-refundable, and we are unable to accept refund requests for any reason because trip funds are prepaid to our partners in the countries we are visiting and supporting. We have unfortunately had many travelers need to cancel their trips due to unforeseen circumstances, and the ones who booked travel insurance with trip protection coverage were grateful they did.
Travel insurance is required for participation in a trip offered by Laura Ericson Group Trips. While there are different types of coverage, we require guests to obtain, at minimum, post-departure coverage from your departure date from home to the day you return home, and with at least:
$150,000 in emergency medical expense benefit
$250,000 in emergency medical evacuation benefit
For maximum protection, it is strongly recommended that you purchase a comprehensive plan with trip cancellation coverage.
If you want to learn more about travel insurance and are looking for a recommendation, you can learn more about our travel insurance partner, Wanderwell, here.
-
We sure hope that’s not the case, but we also realize that life can be unpredictable, and things happen.
All trip payments are non-refundable.
Filling trip spots is incredibly time-consuming. We are a small boutique travel company, and we unfortunately do not have the ability to refund people if their plans change. Your deposits go directly to our local partners, and they are non-refundable to us as well.
Travel insurance is required (see previous FAQ for more details) and if you choose a trip cancelation benefit, it will potentially cover most of your trip costs should you need to cancel for a covered reason.
-
We will be on the go quite frequently in order to see everything this beautiful country has to offer.
We will be doing lots of walking while on land, and there will be one short hike in the Arcadian Mountains.
The day on the boat will be spent at your leisure—swimming, snorkeling, and exploring.
We’ll also have a lot of down time in the afternoons and evenings, which will be a great reprieve from all of the activities we’ll be doing and a great time to reflect on everything we’re doing and seeing.
-
While this trip is very on the go (we’ve got a lot of ground to cover), most days have free time built in so you have time to wander, shop, and explore the cities we are in.
In addition, all planned activities are optional, so you are free to opt out at any time if you choose.
This trip is designed to show you the best of the best of Greece, and all activities have been personally vetted by us to ensure you’re only seeing things worth seeing. If something isn’t generally liked by the entire group, we don’t include it in the itinerary and leave it for free time.
-
Wait until you get the green light from us to purchase your flights—we typically recommend 3-6 months prior to the trip, or as soon as I’ve finalized our group and arrival details.
We will be in contact with you regularly with reminders and assistance on purchasing fights, visas, insurance, packing, and more.
In the meantime, feel free to set up a flight alert on Google Flights to start monitoring prices. You will be flying in and out of Athens International Airport (ATH).
-
Absolutely not! Most people come on group trips alone, and it’s the best way to meet people!
-
While most of our trips tend to be people in the 30-50 age range, all ages 18+ are welcome. We usually also have people who are 50+ on our trips.
Age is just a number, and it’s more important that the trip sounds like a good fit for you than your actual age.

Fun Facts
Greece has over 6,000 islands and islets scattered in the Greek Seas, of which only 227 islands are inhabited.
We will be visiting during one of the best times of the year, and avoiding peak tourist season. The weather is warm, but we will avoid the scorching heat of the summer months. The temps reach low 80s during the day and high 60s at night.
The Euro is the official currency of Greece.
80% of Greece is made up of mountains.
Greece is the third largest producer of olives.
Greek is one of the oldest languages still in use.
After leading over 400 people through 10 countries, we've learned that while group trips are absolutely life-changing for most people, they're not everyone's cup of tea (or shot of Greek moonshine). Before you dive in, let's make sure we're a match:
Vibe Check
You'll thrive with us if:
You can roll with the punches when things go sideways (because they will - it's travel, not a scripted TV show)
You're cool with scheduled adventures (we've got amazing stuff planned, but if you're the "wake up at 2pm on vacation" type, you’ll be missing out)
You understand the whole "strength in numbers" thing means sometimes doing what works for the group vs. your sudden craving for street food at midnight
You can vibe with different personalities (spoiler: you won't click with everyone, and that's totally fine)
You get excited about culture shock instead of freaking out when things aren't exactly like home (that's kind of the whole point)
Think of it like joining the coolest adventure club you never knew you needed. If you're nodding along to these points, chances are you're gonna fit right in. If you're breaking out in hives just reading this... maybe stick to solo travel for now.
Remember: Travel isn't about being perfect - it's about being open to whatever awesome weirdness comes our way. Because trust us, it will.
Still have questions?
Want to scope out flight prices?
You will be flying in and out of Athens International Airport (ATH).
Laura Ericson Group Trips is not responsible for any costs related to flights. You can use this tool to gauge flight prices, but please wait until you get an email from us approximately 6 months prior to your trip to book your flights to ensure you have all of the information needed for booking. We recommend always booking with the airline directly and not from an online travel agency (OTA) like Kayak, etc.
“Travel is about the
gorgeous feeling of
teetering in the
unknown.”
